Physiotherapy focuses on evidence-based assessment, exercise therapy, manual therapy, and rehabilitation. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) may help with symptom relief for some people. If your pain affects movement, strength, posture, or daily function, physiotherapy is usually recommended.
For ankle sprains, a physiotherapist can assess ligament injury severity, swelling, stability, and guide proper rehabilitation to prevent repeat injury. Physiotherapy is especially important if there is difficulty walking, swelling, or repeated sprains.
Physiotherapists focus on long-term recovery using assessment, manual therapy, posture correction, and exercise. This approach helps not only reduce pain but also improve strength and movement to prevent recurrence.
Physiotherapists manage pain and movement problems through assessment, exercise therapy, hands-on treatment, and rehabilitation. Treatment plans are tailored to daily activities, work demands, and lifestyle.
A physiotherapist may use:
• Manual therapy
• Targeted exercises
• Stretching and mobility work
• Pain-relief modalities
• Education on posture and movement

The goal is not just pain relief, but long-term recovery.
Your first session usually includes:
• Detailed assessment

Frequency depends on your condition. Some patients come once a week, others more frequently in the early stage. Your physiotherapist will advise based on your progress.
