Penang Patient with Shoulder Mobility Issues
A patient from Tanjung Bungah, Penang visited us because when lying on his back with elbows bent and placed near the sides of his head, his arms could not rest comfortably on the bed. This limitation caused discomfort and restricted movement during daily activities and exercises.
After a detailed assessment by our physiotherapists—identifying shoulder joint restrictions, tightness in the chest and upper back muscles, and postural imbalances—he began a personalised treatment plan. Through manual therapy, myofascial release, shoulder mobilisation, and targeted strengthening exercises, his arms gradually moved closer to the bed level, allowing comfortable positioning and improved shoulder function.
