KL Patient Regains Full Thumbs-Down Gesture
A patient from Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur visited us because she could not fully perform the thumbs-down gesture due to stiffness and limited mobility in her shoulder and wrist. This restriction affected daily tasks and certain exercises.
After a thorough assessment by our physiotherapists—identifying joint restrictions, soft tissue tightness, and muscular imbalances—she began a personalised treatment plan. Through manual therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilisation, and targeted exercises, her thumbs-down gesture gradually improved. After treatment, she is now able to point her thumbs straight down towards the floor with full range of motion and comfort.
